Developed an interface for the LN-200 IMU. The LN-200 output is IBM SDLC Syncronous Data Link Control. The electrical levels are RS-485. The serial stream input is on the I2S port of an Cirrus Logic EP9301 processor. The I2S port is designed for audio and has a continuous 1.0 Meg Bits per Sec. with Clock and Data and no word boundaries. This makes the I2S serial input usable as an SDCL input even though it is not designed for this application. This approach creates and inexpensive SDCL interface HW interface compatible with the
LN-200 data stream.
