>Experimental Aircrafts

I have considerable experience with experimental aircraft including avionics, composites, engine installation, hydraulics, and wiring. Avionics includes the antennas, instrument panel, and engine controls. Hydraulics work includes the design and installation of hydraulic components and plumbing.  Considerable experience with electrohydaulic servo valves used on large commercial and military aircraft.

Composites work includes plugs, molds, and parts fabrication. Plug work involves the hand and CNC fabrication and lofting of plugs from plans and SolidWorks models. Parts fabrication experience includes the use of layup schedules, vacuum bagging, and cure cycles using controlled thermal profiles.  Familuar with composite fabrication quality control methods including mixing methods and cupon testing.

Working with Experimental Aviation and Renaissance Composites in the 1990s and have considerable experience with the Berkut.  This aircraft is a pusher prop., canard, tandem two-seat vehicle fabricated primarily out of carbon fiber, kevlar, and fiberglass. It is powered by a 6 cylinder, 540 cubic inch, 260 horsepower Lycoming engine.

Consulting to XCOR Aerospace I performed the design and installation of wiring for the EZ-Rocket.
This work included complete wiring diagrams, bill of material and other documentation.
