Lead the design, integration and test of instrumentation, sensors, and test specific modifications on a C-130J prototype aircraft.
Crew member for flight testing that included terrain following, high/zero/negative G maneuvers, engine, power generation, fuel, and hydraulics testing. Diagnosed and trouble-shot aircraft systems during in flight test excursions. Responsible for integration testing and troubleshooting of the 1553 bus, fire detection/suppression, and bleed air control systems on the first prototype aircraft prior to first flight. Designed, integrated and operated a high speed imaging system for monitoring ice formation on propellers tested at the Eglin AFB climatic chamber.
Duties also included development of real time control room and ACAWS data displays using down-linked 1553 data.
